On another note, over the last two weeks, a few stories from Nigeria have all pointed in the same direction: people want more trust, less stress, and simpler ways to rent. One good example is Lagos’ short-let market, which was estimated at ₦281.03 Billion in 2025 from 6,398 tracked units.
What is even more interesting is that growth is no longer happening only in Ikoyi and Lekki. Places like Yaba and Surulere are also seeing stronger demand. For everyday Nigerians, that says something important: the housing market is becoming more organised, more competitive, and more digital.
Another clear signal came from the CBN. New rules now require liveness checks and real-time BVN (Bank Verification Number) or NIN (National Identification Number) validation for opening or reactivating accounts, and newly activated mobile banking apps now face a ₦20,000 cap for the first 24 hours. In plain language, Nigeria is saying this very clearly: digital transactions must be safer, more verified, and harder for fraudsters to exploit.
At the same time, people are still being careful with every naira. The National Bureau of Statistics’ current CPI snapshot shows all-items inflation at 15.10% and food inflation at 8.89%. So even when the pressure is easing, most families still do not have money to waste on fake listings, hidden charges, or repeated house inspections that lead nowhere.
That is exactly why Fourstrides matters. Fourstrides is not just another listing site. The platform is built around verified landlords, verified tenants, verified listings, digital agreements, secure payments, and visible escrow-style deposit handling. Internally, the company describes the Nigerian rental problem in very human terms: renting can take about six weeks, fraud is common, and too much still happens through scattered informal channels. Fourstrides is designed to make the whole journey clearer, safer, and less stressful for ordinary Nigerians.
The bigger story is simple: Africa does not just need more homes online. It needs more trust online. And in Nigeria, that shift is already happening. Fourstrides is building for that future.
